IDENTITY

What are your goals and how are you going to get there?
One of the most challenging aspects for a hospitality business is understanding their identity.  What are they projecting to their customers?  Are they bold and creative? Are they wishy washy and unremarkable?  What are they trying to achieve? Are they gastro, traditional, classic, fusion, edgy, rustic? Do the dishes they offer fit with their vision of what they want to be? Establishing your goals and then working on the way you position your business is key.  Working with professionals like myself who understand the challenges of the busy hospitality landscape is the first most important decision you will make.

Creating a solid foundation to build on
If your business doesn’t understand its identity, how can it engage with your customers in the right way from a solid foundation?  Once they walk through your doors, customers have expectations, if you have just run a promotion offering the ‘best food in the midlands’ and they have a poor meal, just think what that does to your reputation, not forgetting the risk of that message being shared on social media via Tripadvisor, Instagram or one of the many platforms savvy customers can now use to voice their opinions about almost anything!.

Singing from the same hymn sheet
Every single team member has to be on board with the vision that the company has about its identity, what it stands for, what if offers, its standard of excellence in food and service, its ethos around customer service and its tone of voice, not just face to face but on every platform it might appear.  Everything you and your staff do and say reflects on your business either in a positive or negative way.

Let’s work together to get to know your business better
Don’t leave anything to chance, talk to me about how I can work with your business, to turn around your profits and build (or rebuild) your reputation to reflect all the great things about you and what you are able to offer your customers.

It might be a cliché, but ‘Know Thyself’ is the key to this area of identity in business.  Let’s talk.

When I work with businesses, I talk with the key team together. I want to extract from them their vision of what they are or want to be. From that foundation, I plan a clear road map of how to get to their stated target. The team will feel a sense of ownership over the identity and direction.

From here, I can coach, mentor, and even design the entire menu with them if needed.
